Help the WSU Archery Club Compete at the Vegas Shoot 2026!

The WSU Archery Club has been around since 2017, but the history of archery at Washington State University goes back even further. WSU Archery is home to college student archers of all skill levels, whether they are just holding a bow for the first time or have been shooting for years. Our club focuses on teaching safe bow handling, proper shooting form, and how to practice without injury. We mainly use Olympic-style recurve bows, but members are welcome to bring their own, including barebows and compound bows. We work hard to make sure that everyone is shooting safely, learning good technique, and understanding range etiquette.

This year, we have an exciting goal. The WSU Archery Club is preparing to attend The Vegas Shoot 2026, one of the biggest and most well-known archery tournaments in the world. The Vegas Shoot brings together thousands of archers from all around the globe, from beginners to professionals. It is an incredible chance for our members to challenge themselves, represent WSU on an international stage, and connect with the larger archery community.

In 2024, we attended our first major competition in Spokane at the USA Archery Washington State and JOAD Indoor Championships. Seven of our members competed and earned six medals: two gold, three silver, and one bronze. Since then, our club has grown even more. We now have more active members than ever before, and many of them attend almost every practice. Each week we continue to improve, support each other, and share our love for archery.

Your donation to the WSU Archery Club helps make this trip to The Vegas Shoot possible. The funds we raise will go toward travel and lodging costs, tournament registration fees, and shared club equipment. Donations will also help us maintain and upgrade gear as our team continues to grow.

Supporting this project means more than just helping us get to Las Vegas. It helps build a lasting community for students who have found passion and purpose through archery. Every dollar makes a difference and brings a smile to the faces of our current and future members.
