The VanCougar Student magazine, based in WSU Vancouver, informs and engages the community while practicing the highest standards of timely, ethical journalism. Our goal is to deliver stories to our community that meet the level of journalistic quality and professionalism for our readers. For 33 years The VanCougar remained committed to bringing stories that matter to students who care.
Moving into 2024, The VanCougar requires more funds to maintain our presence, both on campus and online. Currently, our magazine's staff are taking on multiple positions to maintain our level of content production. Namely, our goals are to hire;
A Website Manager, to update and maintain our website, thevancougar.org. Our website archives our stories, columns, and newswires to deliver our news online.
A Layout Intern, to support our Layout Manager in conceptualizing and designing our magazine's layout every month.
An Advertising Manager, to help fund our magazine consistently throughout the year.
A Photographer, to add a visual element to our news stories.
