Who we are:
The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) is focused on fostering collaboration between agricultural, biological, and food engineers to contribute to society through food, materials, and sustainable energy. The Washington State ASABE Student Engineering Branch is comprised of graduate students focusing on bio-products, bioenergy, food engineering, agricultural automation, and land, air, water, resources, and environmental engineering. Our club provides professional development opportunities and events to build community within our institution for members across campuses and study areas.
Fundraising goals:
Our club would like to further uplift our members by fundraising to support their attendance at the ASABE international meeting, a conference that hosts hundreds of technical and poster presentations, speaker and panel discussions, career fairs, and invaluable networking and professional development opportunities surrounding our research areas. Donating to support graduate student participation in this annual meeting will make the opportunity more accessible for our members and help us disseminate our research, learn from top industry and academic professionals, and proudly represent WSU at the international level! The 2025 international meeting will be held in Toronto, Canada and the 2026 meeting will be in Indianapolis, Indiana.
As graduate students, we understand the importance of $5 and are grateful for your generosity in supporting our efforts.
A donation of $20 will help cover food expenses for a grad student and keep them fueled through all of the networking and professional development opportunities at the ASABE meeting! The food will taste extra delicious knowing it came from your generous donation.
A $50 donation would contribute to transportation and registration fees, reducing the cost of attendance for students significantly. Thank you for your gift.
A donation of $100 would go towards hotel rooms for our students attending the conference. Thank you for helping us keep our students safe, well-rested, and enabling them to be the best version of themselves for this opportunity!
A donation of $200 would cover a large portion of one of the big-ticket items associated with conference attendance including the flight to the conference, a night in a hotel, or a number of meals. Thank you for your heroic contribution!
