Going National - Help the Esports Club Travel to Tournaments!

The Esports Club:

Competition, community, and computers led the WSU Esports Club to be founded in 2015, right when the industry started rearing its head. Since then, esports has erupted–the billion-dollar industry is projected to double its current market value in just three years, and will only continue to rise. That's where we come in: we want a piece of the pie. This year, we are resurging our club’s initiative by increasing community engagement, hosting more events, and, of course, sending our players to national collegiate tournaments. 2025-2026 is our most ambitious year yet, and we need your help to achieve our goals!

Our Cause:

The strongest of bonds are formed in the fiercest of fights. Tournaments are just the location for that–by participating, our players will form inseparable bonds and have the chance to be a part of something bigger than simple personal accomplishment. We also take this opportunity to ingrain ourselves into the gaming and esports industry, markets full of both monetary and creative promise. By competing in tournaments, we solidify our position and put our name on the map–and what’s better for recruitment than student interest? Over 85% of Gen. Z and Gen. Alpha are gamers, and that number isn’t going down. If any industry is worth investing in, it’s this one. 

Why Donate?

There are two big motivators for just about any sports team: fans, and winning an “ultimate” championship (think the World Series, Superbowl, etc.). It’s the same with esports; support only makes us fight harder and win more games. With more wins, we get more fans, more publicity, and more players who want to join our team. There is also the reality that traveling isn’t exactly inexpensive. Between flight or gas costs, hotels, and registration, the numbers add up, and we frankly don’t have that kind of cash. Neither do our players. Our path to victory can only be truly achieved through your donations–every little bit helps.
