Located in Bremerton, Washington, our program is designed for third- and fourth-year engineering undergraduates looking to complete their education while continuing to live (and eventually work) in the Kitsap region. The short 2-year window for our students highlights the urgency with which the club is pursuing E-Fest, as we are a group whose members’ first year in the club is immediately followed by their last. Add to this the size of our campus, and it becomes clear that the projects our club pursues must fit with our external circumstances.
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) club from WSU’s Bremerton campus is looking to send our members to participate in the events of the ASME’s 2020 E-Fest at Michigan State University. More specifically, our club aims to send students to compete in the Old Guard Oral Presentation and Technical Poster competitions.
The Old Guard Oral Presentation and Technical Poster competitions held at E-Fest are ideal fits within this context, as many of our members are already working on engineering presentations and posters required for their senior design projects. E-Fest is then the perfect opportunity for members of WSU’s youngest club, at WSU’s smallest campus, to elevate the ongoing work of students, WSU, and the engineers of the Kitsap Peninsula to the national level.
Your donation will bring us closer to our goal of sending our members to E-Fest and in so doing serve as an investment in the future of engineering in the Kitsap region.
A donation of this amount will provide vital supplies for our team's technical poster boards.
No presentation is complete without looking the part. A donation of this amount will help our students put together professional outfits that will have people wondering if we're really engineers!
A donation of this amount will pay for a rental van for the duration of the conference.
