Moscow Disability Action Center Front Awning

The Moscow Disability Action Center has requested the design and construction of an awning to improve accessibility and safety at their facility. Key issues include the absence of ADA-compliant railings on the concrete pad, rainwater entering the building and damaging the interior, and the need for the design to meet City of Moscow engineering standards. Engineers Without Borders at Washington State University (EWB-WSU) is taking on this project, which involves creating a civil engineering structural report, detailed drawings, and submitting the design for approval by an Idaho Project Engineer and the City of Moscow. Upon approval, EWB-WSU will oversee material procurement, fabrication, assembly, and installation of the awning to ensure a functional and compliant solution for the center.
