To all of our wonderful donors, the Pre-PA Club of Washington State University would like to wish you a marvelous Monday!

Since our last update, the Pre-PA Club has been very active in serving the community and pre-PA students. Within this Fall semester, we have participated in the Health Professionals Student Center Welcome Rounds, which is an event where we connected with freshmen, informed them about the PA profession, and partook in a Q&A panel. With efforts to engage with more pre-PA students, we have tabled at multiple events, such as the Get Involved Fair and Kinesiology Kickoff. We continue to host bi-weekly Monday meetings where we aim to educate members and provide volunteer opportunities. Down below, you can check out how we have been spending our time. Furthermore, some of our most notable affairs we have arranged include hosting multiple blood drives in collaboration with Vitalant, meetings with the American Academy of Physician Associates, and a fully funded BLS training in partnership with the WSU Student Recreation Center. It is evident that because of your help, we have been able to prosper.

This semester, we have a new mission that we are eager to announce: Scrubs for Pre-PA Students! For many students, entering healthcare to gain patient care experience has financial barriers, such as purchasing the proper attire. Through our fundraiser, we aim to eliminate these hurdles, which will allow students to easily transition into the workforce. With your donation, you are directly supporting the next generation of healthcare workers.

Yesterday, our Pre-PA Club had the incredible opportunity to host a hands on suture clinic, and it was a great success! Various pre-health students from WSU had the opportunity to learn and practice multiple suturing techniques, such as simple interrupted and vertical mattress. This valuable experience surely made us feel one step closer to our future goals in medicine. It was this kind of experience that reminded us exactly why we're passionate about our pursuits.

Without you and your support, this clinic would not have been possible. Thanks to your generous contributions, we were able to provide suture kits and lunch for all attendees, ensuring everyone could participate fully. Events like this mean an immense amount to us, as it builds confidence in our skills and in our sense of community. We are beyond grateful for your belief in us and in your investment in our growth.

A special shoutout to Josh Holloway, PA-C, who generously donated his time and expertise to guide us through the clinic. His patience, encouragement, and real-world insight made the experience especially meaningful. 

In the end, we all left feeling inspired and more prepared for what is ahead of us. From all of us to you, thank you again for making special moments like this possible!

As we close off the past three weeks of fundraising, the Pre-PA Club would like to thank all of our incredible donors and supporters!
