We are the Association for Women in STEM! We are a dynamic and inclusive community dedicated to empowering and supporting women in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. Our mission is to foster an environment where women can thrive, excel, and make their mark in traditionally male-dominated disciplines. Through mentorship, networking opportunities, and educational programs, we strive to encourage and inspire women to pursue careers in the sciences fearlessly. By bringing together professionals from diverse scientific backgrounds, we promote the exchange of ideas, experiences, and knowledge, enriching the collective understanding of our members. With an unwavering commitment to diversity, we embrace the uniqueness of each individual, celebrating their differences and empowering them to pursue lifelong goals in STEM. We want to shape a brighter, more inclusive future for women in science and beyond.
Our Women in STEM week consists of a few events that help celebrate women in these diverse fields. This will consist of movie nights, coffee stands, and a dinner/panel to end the week. This event has panelists of women who are accomplished in their field of study in STEM and helps to honor them all the while inspiring current and future students to pursue careers in STEM fields.
With your help, we could keep this event going strong and continue to spread positivity among women in STEM environments.
Any donation is appreciated and will go a long way in our Registered Student Organization.
Advertising and printing in color is crucial to getting attendance at events like these so having access to supplies is important.
Help movie night be a success by being able to provide the necessary snacks, movie, and room.
We need supplies to be able to have a coffee stand for the week of events in order to supply the students with coffee.
This will help cover expenses and allow us to keep this event free for all students here at Washington State University.
