Description
Have you ever seen a car run completely off of chemical reactions? That is exactly the goal of WSU's ChemE Car team, which is the project of our AICHE chapter at WSU (American Institute of Chemical Engineers). As a multifaceted team of engineers, we make a car completely from scratch. The battery chemistry - homemade 3D printed cells and carefully measured chemicals. The stopping reaction - carefully timed chemistry. The assembly - a designed chassis made completely by students. The wiring - all connections coded and designed by students. Everything for this project is done by students, all to compete in the Regional AICHE ChemE Car Competition.
WSU's ChemE Car needs your help funding our project! Your donation will go towards team t-shirts, travel expenses, and additional material costs. Give a coug the opportunity to show what they've learned at the competition! Rumor has it that the competition is in Seattle, where we will face off against UW at the competition. GO COUGS!
$10
Get Suited Up!
The first start for any reaction is Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Even a small donation can help us get ready for competition. Gloves, goggles, and lab coats on!
$25
Reaction Starter
Every great reaction begins with a catalyst. Your contribution helps purchase essential consumables, laboratory supplies, and testing materials used throughout the ChemE Car season.
$50
Power Source
Help keep the car moving. Donations at this level support batteries, reaction chemicals, and electrical components that power the vehicle during testing and competition.
$100
Pit Crew Sponsor
Behind every successful race is a dedicated team. This contribution helps cover manufacturing materials, troubleshooting, safety equipment, and competition preparation.
$200
Reactor Sponsor
The reactor is the heart of the ChemE Car. Your support helps fund the design, construction, and optimization of the systems that propel and stop the vehicle.
$300
Process Design Sponsor
Engineering is all about turning ideas into reality. Donations at this level support prototyping, advanced materials, and design improvements that enhance vehicle performance and consistency.
$500
Competition Sponsor
Help our team compete on the regional and national stage. Contributions support registration fees, team travel, lodging, and transportation of equipment to competitions.
$1,000
ChemE Car Champion
Become a premier supporter of innovation and student engineering. Champion-level sponsors help sustain the entire program and make it possible for students to gain hands-on engineering experience while representing the university at competitions nationwide.
$5,000
ChemE Car Legacy
Help shape the future of chemical engineering education and innovation. Legacy Sponsors provide transformative support that enables the team to design, build, test, and compete at the highest level while expanding opportunities for future generations of student engineers. Contributions at this level support major equipment purchases, competition travel, outreach initiatives, and the long-term sustainability of the ChemE Car program.
